Shot on March 30, 1981 when John Hickley attempeted to assassinate President Reagan 3. On November 30, 1993, President Clinton signed the Brady Bill, a bill named in Mr. Brady's honor, into law. The Brady law requires a national waiting period and background check on all handgun purchases through licensed dealers. a.
